Titanium metal plates - they measure 3" x 3" and are 1 mm (0.040") thick. Titanium is a lightweight, strong, metallic element; atomic number 22. The two most useful properties of the metal are corrosion resistance and strength-to-density ratio, the highest of any metallic element. Titanium is almost half the weight of steel, 60% denser than Aluminum, but more than twice as strong. Titanium is also highly corrosion resistant.
