Nickel Oxide is used as a catalyst in Hydrogen Fuel Cells, as well as in a variety of other chemical processes. It's also used in the manufacture of Nickel-Cadmium batteries. Nickel Oxide is sometimes used for making unusual Nickel compounds by reacting with acids.
