Generic Uranium Ore
Radiation Range 'C' (5,500 to 7,000 CPM)

typical generic Uranium Ore samples
A Generic Uranium Ore sample in the 5,500 to 7,000 CPM radiation range. Ideal for mineral collectors or as an inexpensive radiation source. Our generic sample is typically plain and unremarkable with few or no unique features - unlike our individually priced samples. Generic samples are useful as inexpensive radiation sources and for chemical extraction/analysis. The ore sample typically measures anywhere from about 2" across to 3.5" across. A generic sample can contain one or more of the following Uranium minerals: Carnotite (bright yellow), Uraninite (black crystal), Pitchblende (jet black), Uranophane (canary yellow), Gummite (maroon to rust brown), and Tyuyamunite (green to yellow).
Although they are safe to handle with your hands, it is prudent to wash your hands after handling the samples to prevent ingesting radioactive chips or fine particles that may fall off of the rocks.
As with all our Uranium ore samples, a certificate stating your sample's precise radiation
measurement & associated information is included with your purchase.
Like all radioactive samples sold by United Nuclear, the radiation levels measured are
combined Beta and Gamma radiation.
Alpha radiation measurements will also be included using a 'pancake' style probe.
Generic Ore Sample (range 'C' 5,500 to 7,000 CPM): $75.00
