Yellowcake is a radioactive compound of the metal element Uranium. In industry, Yellowcake is the purified Uranium concentrate produced in the processing of Uranium ore. Yellowcake is used in the preparation of uranium fuel for nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons. These days, processing mills produce a variety of Uranium compounds which are called 'Yellowcake'. They may include uranium hydroxide, uranium sulfate, uranium peroxide and uranium trioxide. Our Yellowcake is primarily Uranium Peroxide in composition. Yellowcake is radioactive and primarily emits Alpha and Beta radiation.
This is a product of natural Uranium - it is not depleted.
Like most heavy metals, Yellowcake is chemically toxic. Inhalation of any dust particles can be hazardous. Ideal for collectors of those experimenting with Uranium compounds.
Comes as shown above in a 1 gram, 5 gram or 10 gram vial packed in standard chemical bottle.
Caution: Use normal laboratory safety precautions when working with Yellowcake. Inhalation or ingestion of the dust particles may be harmful.
