Uranium Hydroxide
chemical formula: UO2(OH)2
( powder )
Uranium Hydroxide is a Uranium compound that has historically been used to color glass. It produces a green 'Vaseline' color when added to glass which glows under UV light. It is mildly radioactive emitting primarily beta and gamma radiation and is not water soluble.
Like most heavy metals, Uranium Hydroxide is chemically toxic. Inhalation of any dust particles can be hazardous. Ideal for collectors of those experimenting with Uranium compounds.
Comes as shown above, in a 1 gram vial packed in standard chemical bottle.
Caution: Use normal laboratory safety precautions when working with Uranium Hydroxide. Inhalation or ingestion of the dust particles may be harmful.
