Lead 'Big Pig' Container
Known as 'Pigs' in the nuclear industry, these cylindrical lead containers are ideal for storing up to 20 standard 1" Radioisotope Source Disks - or any small radioactive material sample. Pigs come in handy when dealing with shipping and transportation problems that are common with radioactive materials. Perfect for storing small Uranium Ore samples, the Pig is not just a container with a thin Lead sheet stuck on. The wall thickness is 1/2" of solid Lead metal. Outside Dimensions are: 3.6" high x 2.25" diameter. Interior Dimensions: 2.65" high x 1.25" diameter. 0.5" thick wall and approximately 4.6 lbs weight. Exterior painted so the container can be handled on a regular basis without Lead rubbing off on the hands.
