Salicylic
Acid
chemical
formula: 2-HOC6H4COOH
(
powder )
Salicylic Acid is a colorless
crystalline organic acid that is widely used in organic synthesis and
functions as a plant hormone. It is derived from the metabolism of Salicin.
Please note - this is not Aspirin. The chemical name for Aspirin is Acetylsalicylic Acid, which is a different chemical. Salicylic Acid on the other hand is probably best
known for its use in skin care treatments. It is poorly soluble in water
and often used to manufacture other Salicylate compounds.
This is NOT Pure Asprin.
