Potassium Hydroxide

Potassium Hydroxide is a
powerful alkali, also known as 'Caustic Potash'. It is chemically similar
to Lye. Potassium Hydroxide is used in a wide variety of chemical
processes and is also added to water to make it more conductive in
electrolysis Hydrogen generators. It's also the primary ingredient in
alkaline batteries and is very corrosive to body tissue -
direct contact with it must be avoided.
Caution:
Potassium Hydroxide is
toxic & corrosive. Use normal safety precautions (wear a filter
mask/respirator and gloves) when working with Potassium Hydroxide.
