Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is used in a wide variety of chemical processes and industrial applications ranging from antiseptics to rocket fuel. Higher concentrations (85% to 98%) is known as High Test Peroxide (HTP), which is primarily used as a rocket propellant. Hydrogen Peroxide can be concentrated by gently boiling, as the water in the solution boils away at a slightly lower temperature than the Peroxide does. Hydrogen Peroxide will react violently with organic materials as well as some metals causing it to rapidly decompose into oxygen and steam. High concentrations of Hydrogen Peroxide are unstable and dangerous to handle. They can explosively decompose by coming into contact with small amounts of impurities.
Not intended for drug or pharmaceutical use, our 27% Hydrogen Peroxide will burn skin on contact and should be used with caution, not to mention appropriate safety equipment.
