Ideal for demonstrating the penetrating ability of various forms of radiation through different materials & thicknesses. Our Radiation Absorber Set contains 20 calibrated radiation absorbers covering the range of 4.5 mg/cm2 to 7400 mg/cm2. The absorbers are all 2.75 in. square (designed to fit most standard detector stand assemblies) and are fabricated from high density Plastic, Aluminum, and Lead plate. The set is suitable for absorption studies with Alpha, Beta, and Gamma radiation. Each absorber is individually labeled with an index, packaged in a latching wooden box.
