This amazing Uraninite sample emits an unbelievable 64,000 CPM on a beta/gamma probe and 320,000 CPM on a pancake probe! This sample is like a small nuclear reactor, considering the impressive radiation output and a weight of only 156 grams. Measuring 3.25" across, it is a very rare class 'W', 'Ultra High' radiation level sample. It is the hottest sample we've had all year and is recommended for professional collectors only due to the high radiation level.
Aside from mineral collections, it is well suited for geology instruction & classroom use. It's too rare to be destroyed in Uranium extraction experiments and is better suited for collectors/display or as a powerful radiation source for experiments.
