This sample features maroon Gummite with streaks of yellow Carnotite throughout. Although not mentioned, there is clearly some small areas of Black Uraninite visible too. A stout radiation emitter at 8,000 CPM on a beta/gamma probe and 60,000 CPM on a pancake probe. Aside from mineral collections, it is well suited for geology instruction & classroom use - as well as a source for Uranium extraction experiments.
A perfect sample for display, collectors, or for use as a radiation source for experiments. From Poison Canyon, north of Grants, NM.
