Potassium Nitrate (also known
as 'Saltpeter' to old-timers) is a common oxidizer best known for
its use in fireworks, rocket propellants and as a main component of Blackpowder (Gunpowder).
It's also often used as a fertilizer, food preservative and in toothpaste
formulations for sensitive teeth.
NOTE: Federal regulations limit purchase of this chemical to 1 pound per year per customer.
