A classic bottle shape in the packaging industry, the Boston Round Bottle (also known as a Winchester Bottle), can hold almost any liquid or solid. Traditionally used for pharmaceutical, chemical and laboratory applications. The black phenolic cap provides strength and durability with heat-resistant and insulating properties. Phenolic caps are often used in laboratory environments as they are ideal for variety of aggressive products due to strong resistance to chemical corrosion and moisture absorption. Cap includes a polyethylene cone liner ('polycone'). This liner is cone shaped and provides a seal between the top of the cap and the inside diameter of the bottle creating a tight seal to prevent leakage. These oil-resistant plastic liners prevent air and moisture from entering the bottle, thus preserving the product housed inside.
