This monstrously powerful sample is essentially pure black Uraninite with little inert rock. It is a large & heavy sample measuring about 4.25" across and weighing in at a hefty 530 grams. Perfect for larger cabinet-size rock collections. It emits an intense 60,000 CPM on a beta/gamma probe and 300,000 CPM on a pancake probe! This is a class 'U', 'Super High' radiation level sample - recommended for professional collectors only due to the high radiation level.
Aside from mineral collections, it is well suited for geology instruction & classroom use. It can be used for Uranium extraction experiments, or as a powerful radiation source for experiments.
