Copper Metal Ball

Copper Metal Ball
chemical element: Cu
( solid sphere )

Solid, pure Copper balls measuring about 2" in diameter and weighing about 1.3 pounds. Ideal for element collectors, electroplating, or unique experiments involving copper metal. Copper is diamagnetic, it opposes magnetic fields. Although magnets are not attracted to Copper and will not stick to it, Copper will respond to a moving or pulsed magnetic field. passing a strong magnet by one of the Copper Balls will make it roll (a demonstration of Lenz's Law). One could actually make a magnetic cannon (similar to a rail gun) that would shoot Copper 'cannonballs' using this property.
