URANIUM ORE: Pitchblende
WEIGHT: 49 grams
SIZE: 2.25"

This is one of the most sought after Uranium ores, Pitchblende. It is recognized by the jet black bulbous formation of the Uranium ore - appearing like small bubbles or dots. It is also a sample of SuperGrade ore - measuring 45,000 CPM. Using high sensitivity detectors, such as pancake-type probes, this rock could easily measure 8 to 10 times higher. Perfect for use as a stout radiation source as well as a very high grade Uraninite example for classroom use. Not recommended to Uranium extraction experiments considering how rare the sample is.
Recommended for professional collectors only due to the high radiation output. From Colorado.

Please Note - all our Uranium Ore Samples are unique - that is, there is only one of each. As soon as it it sold, it is gone - and we have no guarantee that we will be able to restock a similar mineral sample.

As with all our Uranium ore samples, a certificate stating your sample's precise radiation measurement & associated information is included with your purchase. Click Here for more info.
Like all radioactive samples sold by United Nuclear, the radiation levels measured are combined Beta and Gamma radiation only. We never include Alpha radiation measurements or use 'pancake'/end window/scintillator type probes
as they produce a deceivingly high reading.

Radiation Level 'P' (42,500 - 45,000 CPM)
