TORBERNITE - 25,000 cpm - sample #9166

URANIUM ORE: Torbernite
WEIGHT: 92 grams
SIZE: 3"

Here's an attractive and high radiation level Torbernite sample. Torbernite is one of the most difficult Uranium ore samples to find these days - and it's usually very expensive when you find one. Most of the Torbernite available comes from the Congo in Africa. It is very difficult these days to get any samples out of the country. The sample is loaded with sparkling green Torbernite crystals. The base rock contains deep nooks & crannies that the crystals have formed in - making it a very nice looking sample indeed. br /> Far too rare for use in any Uranium extraction experiments, but perfect for collectors and classroom instruction use.
Uranium ore will measure up to 10 times higher on 'pancake' style radiation detectors.
From the Congo, Africa.

Please Note - all our Uranium Ore Samples are unique - that is, there is only one of each. As soon as it it sold, it is gone - and we have no guarantee that we will be able to restock a similar mineral sample.

As with all our Uranium ore samples, a certificate stating your sample's precise radiation measurement & associated information is included with your purchase. Click Here for more info.
Like all radioactive samples sold by United Nuclear, the radiation levels measured are combined Beta and Gamma radiation only. We never include Alpha radiation measurements or use 'pancake'/end window/scintillator type probes
as they produce a deceivingly high reading.

Radiation Level 'J' (24,500 - 27,000 CPM)
